There was a time when this establishment appeared to be on the rise but it has suddenly and swiftly gone downhill. It presents itself as a cozy tavern but now they enforce this insane and perplexing dress code. Dreadfull customer service and sub par food. Save your money and your time.
Went in last night to see two bands playing. The manager was downright rude and insulting and has NO BUSINESS being in hospitality since he doean't know the.meaning of the word. I have never seen so many people turned away! I understand there was a dress code but it's a small function hall not the Ritz!! I will never step foot in there again!!

I walked in late one night to see if they served food, because I was just looking for a quick sandwich. The cook was there, having already closed the kitchen for the night. He went downstairs and whipped up a fantastic turkey sandwich (complete with fries!). The turkey was REAL roasted turkey--roasted onsite, he told me. The bar tender and other regulars were warm and welcoming. The portions were very generous, the food delicious, prices were very reasonable, and the staff were fantastic. If you are traveling on Rt 1 North in Danvers, MA, stop at the Village Green. An excellent place for a wonderful time! (They also have dancing and karaoke on the weekends!)
