But Bristol District Attorney Sam Sutter said the company failed to follow several safety regulations. The climbing wall had not been inspected as required, was poorly placed near a curb, and lacked the proper permits, he said. Also, the operator at the time was not properly trained or certified in belaying.

The company - Just for Fun Rentals! - was charged in Bristol Superior Court with manslaughter in the death of 24-year-old Stacy Sarrette, who was with her sister, cousins, and an aunt at a country music festival in Mansfield when she fell from the wall.

She had been wearing a harness and was tied to ropes, but somehow fell on her head in May 2005. Knocked unconscious, she was kept on life support for several days before succumbing to her injuries.

Just For Fun ???? just a gamble. Do not trust them. They have broken down equipment and the owner will not communicate to solve issues. Every company has problems, Just for Fun is one that will take your money and leave you hanging. Any company where the owner will not speak to his customers should make you SCared to have your children involved with there equipment. Buyers / renters beware!

I signed a contract in July 2010 to rent a 25-ft inflatable cruise ship slide (the type you see at town fairs) for my daughter's "Cruise Around the World" birthday party to be held in Sept. The sales people KNEW it was for an event involving a large volume of children, and that the party depended on this centerpiece amusement. The day before my event, I phoned JFF to inquire what time it would be delivered, only to receive last-minute news that it was vandalized "at the previous event and no one noticed", sliced down both sides "to the baffles", that they called a seamstress, or that they need to fly in a man from South Carolina to fix it, that they are ethical, that it wouldn't be repaired in time for my event... We had no choice but to hold our party without the ship--apologizing to each parent and 24+ children. After contacting Boston's Dept. of Public Safety, I found out the REAL reason why Just For Fun failed to deliver: they were NOT licensed for it; their application was pending. To add insult to injury, JFF contacted me one business day after my event to offer me dates in October when this slide would be available for rent again--that it will be "repaired" by then--knowing full well that they were still not licensed to rent out this amusement. BEWARE of unscupulous business practices of JFF, who betrayed me and a neighborhood of children.

A Danvers-based company was indicted yesterday in the 2005 death of a Saugus woman, who fell from an inflatable climbing wall, in a rare case of an amusement ride company being charged criminally in the state.

Do not give them your credit card info , they will overcharge you . Then when you call everyone will tell you the money will be placed in your account only for you to get the run around for about a month . Then they will continue to withdraw money , stating that it was a mistake that they meant to refund it . What a great way to run a business !!!! DON'T Waist your money or time not worth it . If thats not enough they are also not safe and you could be putting your children in danger by renting from them just read below , or google stacy sarratte who lost her life because of these people !!!!

Howard Cooper - a spokesman for the company, which rents out party rides like the climbing wall - said yesterday that the indictment has no merit.

NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY SINGLE-HANDEDLY RUINED OUR EVENT and left 350 children dissappointed in an event they worked hard to create at their school.

NOT TO MENTION...two of the pieces we rented were replaced by different pieces...the soccer kick target was replaced by a baseball target and the ring toss was replaced by a ball toss...which was extrememley similar to another thing we already had requested by them.

JUST FOR FUN EVENTS IS JUST FOR IDIOTS>>>THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS!!!

Just For Fun Rentals should be used JUST FOR IDIOTS. They turned my event into a disaster. In planning a spring carnival for 350 4th and 5th graders I rented a dunk tank, ring toss, ball toss, football target, soccer target, and duck pond. My event was from 2:30 to 4 PM and obviously Just For Idiots knew that their rentals required set up. THE RENTALS SHOWED UP AT 2:45 for a 2:30 event. By the time the rentals were appropriately set up, by the 1 man crew, it was 3:15. The left the rentals available for use for only half the time of the event.
